Hello there . . .

You may beasking who this Mr. D is and what is this website all about. Well let me start with that Mr. D stands for David Scharton a substitute teacher for the Adventist Conference in Southern California. I have been teaching for over 30 years to youth and adults in the field of Animation, Computers, and Software Design but about 10 years ago God inspired me to direct my attention on the youth and I have been doing that through the schools or academies as a Sabbath School and Substitute teacher.

Mr. D came to be about 10 years ago when he was teaching at an academy for the conference and started using the abbreviation and the schools allowed him to continue with the name Mr. D. Then at the Oceanside Academy several years back he was recognized by the graduating class and put in the school year book. The recognition that they gave him or me was refreshing and was like God looking down and saying you are doing good. Sooooo since then at every school I teach at I use the name Mr. D and the children relate me to that character or individual in their classroom.

Well then why am I doing a website for youth? The youth become children to me that I will care for the rest of my life. I find the desire to learn and have fun and for adults to listen and be there with them. I treat the children like my six grandchildren I take care with my wife and they become like family. Mr. D also has a couple of rules that I always inforce and believe in is no negative responses to each other and remember that God is there with them and he loves them. . I encourage the youth from K thru 12 to remember God in prayer as we do things and I remind them that with God we can do anything. I have stories that I have shared with many different academies within the Adventist School System that have brought kids from all grades to their knees in prayer to Jesus. The children are waiting to be molded and that is what Mr. D is there for as God's representative. My goal as Mr. D will to continue to bring hope and positive actions as long as my body holds out.

There may be a question of what I meant 'My Body Hold Out', well Satan does most anything to make our lives terrible by taking love ones from us, causing virus like Covid to destroy peoples love for each other, I have experienced since I decided to dedicate myself to God and the Youth and stop thinking of me ... Cancer, Knee Replacement, and Heart Attack in less than three years. I decided about three years that God was the way and no other path I would follow. When you choose to follow God don't be surprise that satan is there waiting to show you other things.. easier things, things with more fun. Mr. D will try to bring God's way within his human power and the Holy Spirit.

Mr. D wants to say that he is here for Jesus and hopes to show his love and bring more soles to him. My life as this new character has been a product of the many years as working with youth at Valley Murrieta with my wife's craft class. The class brought hundred's children from all over to this class over the period of 25 years. My wife would share Jesus and unconditional love to every child and adult that came through her classroom door and I pray that God will help me ( Mr. D ) bring the spirit to each child, teen, youth, or adult in my path as a youth leader in the church.

Before I found out that I had cancer Mr. D was inspired was inspired to become a youth leader called a Master Guide within the Adventist Church and was invested in November of 2021 at a camporee in Riverside County. It was experience to be invested in front of all my students and friends, and I believe that the youth had a positive experience like myself. Thank You God. But you know what that means God is not done with me. God told Noah to build and ark that took 120 years I believe. I am sure he told God he was old and forget it but guess what, the ark got built and the flood came. How long does Mr. D go …. Well I think only God knows that. (smile).

This website is design to share stories, crafts possibly, and honors. The honors are tied to a group of children that call themselves pathfinders in the Adventist Church. The organization is similar to the Boy and Girl Scouts but with God as the head and not man. I, Mr. D plan on developing to do at home honors for youth to experience these honors and possibly bring youth into our current clubs and if need reach out if they need a friend.

I fill this website will share the strange and weird things I have experience and have shared with my students to children that don’t know me.
